Professional Background
Dr. John A. Jennings, DMD, P.C., is a Wiregrass area native from Enterprise, AL. He graduated from Enterprise High School in 1992 and began his academic career at Enterprise Community College on a full academic scholarship, where he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Jennings completed his transferable credits there before enrolling at UAB, where he graduated cum laude in 1996 with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He was also a recipient of the UAB Alumni Society’s Mr. UAB scholarship and conducted undergraduate research under Professor Thane Wibbels.
Dr. Jennings started his doctoral studies in August 1996 at the UAB School of Dentistry, where he was a fellow of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity and served as Vice President during the 1997-1998 academic year. He graduated with his D.M.D. in June 2000, immediately passing his dental board examination and began practice in July.
After completing two cosmetic associateships, Dr. Jennings purchased the practice of Dr. Michael McNutt in Ozark, AL. Since January 7, 2002, he has maintained a comprehensive general practice with a concentration on cosmetic dentistry, emphasizing that all dental restorations, from the simplest to the most complex, should be beautiful.
Personal Background
Dr. Jennings resides in Enterprise, AL with his wife, Amy. They have three sons: Preston Andrew, Jackson Parker, and John Harrison, and a grandson, Jax.
Dr. Jennings and his family enjoy spending time together, including trips to the Gulf Coast and visits to Disney World. He and Amy also enjoy traveling to destinations such as Las Vegas, NYC, and Chicago. They were married on June 7th, 2002, at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
